Meet The Face Behind Halal Bookkeeping and Tax

I’m Thomasina Muqtasid, the proud owner of Halal Bookkeeping and Tax.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I completed degrees in Accounting, Business Management, and Public Sector Management which enabled me to work in the accounting industry for over three decades.

During this time, I would often get asked by close friends and family to help with tax preparation and bookkeeping. I found that empowering people to get ahead fulfilled my purpose in life and inspired me to turn my hobby into a business.

Since starting my tax consultancy business eight years ago, it’s grown exponentially as I’m listed with the Internal Revenue Service as a credentialed tax preparer. Being a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor, and maintaining an A+ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau has further enhanced my reputation.

In addition, I offer affordable services, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my transparency and reliability. It includes making myself readily available throughout the year to solve complex problems and offering honest advice on creating profitable businesses.

As a result, it fills me with immense satisfaction when happy clients express their relief and gratitude for helping them to save money on their taxes and get the most significant refund possible. It’s also rewarding to receive word-of-mouth referrals. 

When I’m not analyzing financial statements, I enjoy reading, playing handball, and going on long walks. I also firmly believe in doing my bit to alleviate poverty in my community.
